Dr. Andre Lamy

Dr. Andre Lamy is a Professor, Department of Surgery, at McMaster University, a cardiac surgeon at Hamilton Health Sciences, and a Scientist at the Population Health Research Institute, Hamilton, ON, Canada. Dr. Lamy was the Principal Investigator of the CORONARY trial, a large multi-centered randomized trial of off-pump CABG surgery versus in-pump CABG surgery. Dr. Lamy leads COMPASS-CABG a RCT evaluating the benefits if rivaroxaban for graft patency after CABG surgery, VISION-Cardiac surgery, a prospective analysis of 15,000 patients to determine the cut-off value and prognostic factor of high sensitivity troponin essays after cardiac surgery, and DEPOSITION, a study examining whether topical (intra-pericardial) is superior to intravenous tranexamic acid. His areas of interest include CABG surgery, CSA-AKI, and Health Economics.
