Dr. Zubin Punthakee is an endocrinologist and Associate Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at McMaster University, and active staff physician at Hamilton Health Sciences. His areas of research focus include clinical trials and observations studies of treatments of type 2 diabetes including remission, evaluation of bioenergetics during treatment of obesity, and in children, risk factors for obesity. He has held roles in the ACCORD, TIDE and ORIGINALE studies.
